Incentive Trip to Dubai Client: ITW Construction Products Venue: Dubai Event: Incentive Trip Nos: 55 From the 4th – 8th November Rhodes Event Management organised and ran a terrific incentive for our clients ITW Construction Products to Dubai. Flying out of Manchester and Heathrow and staying at the 5* Royal Meridian the group of 55 clients were treated to a 5* tour. After relaxing on the day of arrival the group were transferred to Dubai Creek for a sumptuous meal on a local Dhow, during the cruise the group ate local delicacies and viewed the incredible Dubai skyline. On returning to the Royal Meridian the group spent time getting to know one another in Satchmo’s bar On day two the group had an optional tour of the city culminating in a visit to the world famous Spice and Gold Souq where bargains were a plenty. On returning to the hotel the afternoon was spent sunbathing by the pool or on the beach with temperatures In the region of 32 degrees. A very informal dinner was held in the Royal Garden next to the lower swimming pool, with music, fine wines and again a sumptuous buffet dinner. The best was left until the last with a free morning on the final day followed by a BBQ lunch in the Al Kaima restaurant. At 3pm the impressive site of 16 4x4 vehicles lined up outside the hotel with the delegates boarding the vehicles in groups of four. The convey made its way to the desert and our drivers gave us a white knuckle ride through the desert up and over the continually moving sand dunes. As the sun was setting the group stopped for champagne and local coffee before moving off in the 4x4 again. Our final stop was at the base of a large sand dune with bright lights shimmering over the top and the sound of Arabic music. The group scaled the dune to be met by the wondrous site of their own Bedouin village, including a bar, belly dancer, falcon display, fire eater and Tattooist and with the eary sound of the Arabic Band playing the guests treated themselves to more drinks and a more local food whilst sat in the Bedouin tents. The journey back to the hotel at gone midnight was full of mirth but also tinged with sadness as the day of departure was upon us. Craig Oatway – Marketing Executive said Many thanks for all the effort put in on your side, the Rhodes team at the airport were great and yourself and Emma did a fantastic job of keeping everyone together and on time (when possible!) whilst over there. Everyone is in agreement that it was one of the best trips they had ever been on so thanks for helping us achieve our final goal of customer satisfaction! As your customer, myself and our commercial managers can tell you that we were very satisfied with everything! And we look forward to planning next year’s incentive |
